Over the years I have received frequent requests from people who need my services but cannot access face to face contact. In order to reach as many people who need my help as possible, I work remotely via video or telephone calls.
Due to previous guidelines around pandemics, more people are opting for remote counselling sessions which is the service I now provide.
Research has also shown that a stronger connection or relational depth between client and therapist can be found working online or telephone as well as, or more than, working in a face to face environment. It may feel less inhibiting, able to feel freer, sometimes more safe and comfortable with privacy at home, or even less travelling restrictions to a face to face environment.
This relational depth or connection is important to help bring about changes. This is of course, very individual to the client preferred approach.
